About Us

The Pioneer Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the Village of Pioneer, Ohio.  The department currently has 9 officers: 5 full-time, 4 part-time, and a new K9.  The department provides 24 hour, 7 days a week service to the Village of Pioneer.  Dispatching is provided by the Williams County Central Communications Agency located in Bryan, Ohio.; the capital city of Williams County.  

The Village of Pioneer is located in northern Williams County Ohio approximately 1 mile from the Michigan border and 12 miles from the Indiana border.  The village is approximately 2 square miles and has a poplulation of approximately 1500 residents.

 

Pioneer is the only village north of the Ohio Turnpike in Williams County.  Williams County is bordered by Hillsdale County, MI to the north, Steuben and Dekalb County, IN to the west, Fulton County, OH to the east and Defiance County, OH to the south.
