Our K9 program was created in 2022 and implemented in 2023. While this position was on our radar for some time, funding the position and creating it would take some time. Our newest patrol officer, a previously trained K9 handler, helped to bring the position to fruition and in December of 2022, our first ever K9, K9 Vader, started with Pioneer Police Department. 

In 2023, Officer Mills and K9 Vader will start their intense training with hopes to have Vader on patrol in early spring.
